About Your Test And Treatment
-
Please bring your insurance card to your appointment. We will bill your medical insurance for the testing and evaluation services as well as your prescription insurance for any treatment. Copays and deductibles may apply. We do not bill insurance for PCR tests but you may submit the receipt to your insurance to attempt reimbursement. However, most insurances will not cover the costs of travel related COVID-19 testing.
-
All tests are performed in your vehicle to minimize exposure to staff. Flu, RSV and Covid tests are performed using a nasal swab. The swab is only inserted an inch or less and is very comfortable. No brain tickling with these tests! Strep throat tests are throat swabs (naturally!). We may also take blood pressure, heart rate, and pulse oximetry as part of the evaluation.
-
We will call you after your results are ready, usually within 45 minutes to discuss the results and possible treatment options. You will also receive a text message and/or email of your results. You may also pickup the relevant results paperwork and medication via our drive-thru window or have them delivered right to your door.
Find out if you have Flu A, Flu B, Covid-19, or RSV with a single swab and get treated.
COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) is a disease caused by a virus named SARS-CoV-2. It can be very contagious and spreads quickly. COVID-19 most often causes respiratory symptoms that can feel much like a cold, the flu, or pneumonia. COVID-19 may attack more than your lungs and respiratory system. Other parts of your body may also be affected by the disease. Most people with COVID-19 have mild symptoms, but some people become severely ill.
Influenza (flu) is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses that infect the nose, throat, and lungs. Some people, such as people 65 years and older, young children, and people with certain health conditions, are at higher risk of serious flu complications. There are two main types of influenza (flu) viruses: types A and B. The influenza A and B viruses that routinely spread in people (human influenza viruses) are responsible for seasonal flu epidemics each year. The best way to reduce the risk of flu and its potentially serious complications is by getting vaccinated each year.
Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) causes infections of the lungs and respiratory tract. It's so common that most children have been infected with the virus by age 2. Respiratory syncytial (sin-SISH-ul) virus can also infect adults. In adults and older, healthy children, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) symptoms are mild and typically mimic the common cold. Self-care measures are usually all that's needed to relieve any discomfort. RSV can cause severe infection in some people, including babies 12 months and younger (infants), especially premature infants, older adults, people with heart and lung disease, or anyone with a weak immune system (immunocompromised).
